Japan is a surprisingly large country, stretching over 3.000 km in length. The island country consists of 47 prefectures
including 43 traditional, two urban (Osaka and Kyoto), one territory (Hokkaido) and the Metropolis of Tokyo
Each prefecture is home to dozens of towns, hundreds of attractions and numerous local festivals. 
And each prefecture has a strong and independent identity with its culture, food and dialect of Japanese language.
Each prefecture will be a unique experience and they all have their own beauty.

Hokkaido is the most northern, and second largest island in Japan.
It is popular for the beautiful nature, onsen (hot springs) , tasty gourmet, and the powder snow in the winter season.

Gourmet –

Ramen
One of the popular gourmet of Hokkaido is Ramen.
Sapporo Ramen – Rich Miso soup base Ramen with butter and corn.

Vegetables
Hokkaido`s vegetables & fruits are the most tasty such as: Potatoes, Melon, Corn, etc…

Milk Products
Also the milk products of Hokkaido is very popular thanks to their rich farm areas, such as: milk, cheese, ice cream, chocolate, caramel, etc…

Sea Food
Also meat and seafood is Hokkaido pride, such as: beef, crabs, sea urchin, caviar , Jingisukan ( Japanese grilled mutton dish),  etc…

Shiroi Koibito

It also has chocolate company that made one of the most famous souvenirs cookies from Hokkaido called Shiroi Koibito (white lover) with themed park in Sapporo city.

Thanks to Yamanashi’s weather (low annual precipitation and extreme differences in heat and cold) helps to create sweet, juicy fruits.

Hoto
Traditional Yamanashi Noodle pot called- Hoto – made with thick noodles and lots of vegetable. Very delicious!

One of Toyama area dish that became popular is Hotaru Ika – Firefly Squid. Firely Squid often come to Toyama Bay area from early spring. Black Ramen –
Another popular dish is Black Ramen. The name of these ramen noodles derives from their strong soy sauce flavor, which makes the soup appear black.

Shizuoka is also known as the birthplace of unagi (eel) farming. A unique snack made with that eel is this “Unagi Pie ”. Unagi Pie is made by making a cookie out of powdered eel baking it, and finishing it off with a sauce like that used on grilled eel.
