About Hotel Kazurabashi
Hotel Kazubarashi is located in Tokushima Prefecture at the most sightseeing spots that in this prefecture – Iya Valley, which is famous for its gorgeous mountain vistas, historic thatched roof homes, and impressive vine bridges ( Kazurabashi bridge is the most popular bridge which many people visit).
And the wonderful Hotel Kazurabashi is located just nearby the Kazurabashi bridge.
For anyone looking for a truly Japanese experience, the Hotel Kazurabashi is highly recommended.
We didn`t came to sleep there but only used the hotel daily for their hot springs.
Hotel Kazurabashi`s Onsen
The most unique experience in this hotel is that guests travel up a hillside by mini cable car (there a cable car inside the hotel!) to the three open-air baths perched on a cliff overlooking the surrounding valley. One is for ladies, one is for men, and one is private.
The private Onsen is not available to use for people whom came for daily use. Only for staying guests. So we couldn`t use the private one.
Going to the Onsen (Hot-springs) by a cable car (unique experience)
The view after you used the Cable Car at the top –
At the top of the cable car there a traditional small garden, that you can see in your left side when you walk to the hot-springs
When you get inside, you see a beautiful hot spring with a view!
There also shampoo & Conditioner & Body Soap.
Inside there also a bowl-kind-hot-springs. That you can seat inside .
The hot-spring is also designed with Japanese traditional garden style.
For ladies only there also a quiet relaxing seats spots. There also have dryer option for the hair
Also after you get outside the hot-springs, there an onsen foot bath in a small garden. It is connected to a traditional thatched roof building that guests are welcome to relax in after soaking.
Access
The hotel is located on the mountains and the roads are narrow.
There three options
Bus –
Shikoku Kotsu Bus from JR Awa-Ikeda Station which takes about 70 minutes and cost about ￥1,200. The bus stop to get off called “Hotel Kazurabashi-mae”.
The bus comes only 3-4 times a day, so please check the bus schedule before.
Taxi –
15 minutes by taxi from JR Oboke station (The nearest station).
Rental Car –
We used rental car.
From Tokushima Station is takes about 2 hours.
