Oishi Park ( 大石公園) is on the north shore of Kawaguchiko lake. A park with a superb view of lake and Mt.Fuji at once. Various flowers bloom on the promenade along the lakeside according to the season.
Oishi Park is well known as the venue of The Kawaguchiko Herb Festival, a famous early summer event. Spreading like a purple carpet across the park with the Lavender Flowers. The park’s lavender fields with Mt. Fuji in the background are a sight to behold. And, indeed to say that, Flower Street, with the seasonal flowers blooming , also in autumn Kokia covered the area and turn crimson. In addition, even in winter there winter illumination, is also popular. So you can enjoy all year .
The park has three areas of flowers. Which All area has its beauty. And can see Mt.Fuji very well.
There is a large free parking lot and is popular as a rest area of the touring of a bicycle and the motorcycle.
350 meter-long Flowers Road
On the west side of Oishi Park “Flowers road”, you can enjoy colorful flowers throughout the season. At the end of the Flowers road, Kochia (summer cypress) spreads all over from summer to autumn, making it a popular photo spot.
Oishi Park Cafe
Also in the park area there a Cafe Terrace where you can enjoy meals and tea or ice cream while looking at the lake, garden, and Mt. Fuji view.
On the first floor is connected to the Kawaguchiko Natural Life Center and offers light meals such as jam sand, egg sand and frozen drinks.
The second floor is a cafe restaurant with a good view, where you can eat curry and pizza. When the weather is nice, the windows are fully open and you can enjoy your meal while enjoying the view of Lake Kawaguchi and Mt.Fuji.
Flowers which bloom in profusion every season, the scenery of wide lake and magnificent view of Mt.Fuji are the charm of only Oishi park. You will feel calm if you stroll slowly in the promenade where flowers bloom while looking at Mt.Fuji.
