The main area of this ward, is Shinjuku itself – and it is one of the crowded area in Tokyo.
Shinjuku Station has over 200 exits and has around 3.6 millions passengers per day!

Omoide Yokocho, Shinjuku, Tokyo

Located in the west exit of Shinjuku station.
Omoide Yokocho is a bar district with nostalgic atmosphere.

Kabukicho
Kabukicho is a famous entertainment district located in the east exit of Shinjuku station.
In this most crowded, neon-burning, lively yet safe downtown area, you can see the famous 3D car screen on the screen, and say hello to the Godzilla head around the neon lights

Shinjuku Gyoen, Tokyo

Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden
Located a short walk from Shinjuku Station, and this garden has tranquil scenery provide a relaxing escape from the busy center around it. 
In spring, you can enjoy many various of cherry blossom, in autumn, you can enjoy beautiful foliage colors.

Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building

A 243 meter tall building with two towers, and each has an free observation decks which provide good panoramic views of Tokyo and beyond at a height of 202 meters.
Sometimes at night, they have project light on the building itself.

Hanazono Shrine, Shinjuku, Tokyo

Hanazono Shrine
Beautiful small shinto shrine in middle of Shinjuku. The most interesting time to visit is during the Tori no Ichi festival that held in early  November.

Shin-Okubo

 Shin-Okubo is an a city that include in Shinjuku -ku ward, located one station from Shinjuku station, and well known as Tokyo’s Korea Town.

Cosmetics Stores
Korea is famous for its cosmetic brands and similar to Myeongdong – the famous shopping district in Korea that known for having many beauty and cosmetic stores, so it isn`t different in Shin-Okubo. 
Many of Korean cosmetic and beauty can be seen in this street.

K-Pop Shops
If you are into a K-pop idols, this place is your heaven!
You’ll see the many faces of K-pop singers on posters, mugs, clothes, calendars, towels etc..

First, when you will walk in Shin-Okubo street, you will notice to plenty of small stands that carry popular Korean snacks to enjoy. 
There also many Korean food restaurants like Korean BBQ (Bulgogi) or  Korean Sushi (Kimbap).
You can see many Korean Cafe and dessert around, like Korean fat Macaron (Ddungcaron) stores or Korean Shaved ice (Bingsu)  around you.
So don`t forget to come hungry to this area!

Takadanobaba-Waseda

Toyama Park, Shinjuku

Toyama Park
In the park there small mountain called ” Mt. Hakone”,  with only 44.6 meters (like hill) but it is consider to be the highest mountain in Shinjuku-ku.
The best season to visit there is in the cherry blossom. It is not crowded park and beautiful to enjoy the cherry blossom around.

Hourinji Temple, Waseda

Hourinji Temple
Small shrine near Waseda University . It has beautiful Hanachozu ( traditional Japanese flower art  on water) every season.
In June it has Hydrangeas flowers around.
